An architect by training, Tobias' interests soon moved to robotic systems and their potential for realising non-standard automated fabrication processes. After completing his postgraduate studies with a specialisation in Computer Aided Architectural design, Tobias completed his Ph.D. on the topic of robotically assembled brickwork at ETH Zurich. Prior to founding ROB Technologies, Tobias has been a long-time collaborator of Gramazio Kohler Research, performing pioneering research at the interface of robotics and construction.
CTO, Co-Founder
A physicist and mathematician with long time experience in software development and the direct control of computer controlled machines for fabrication, Ralph has profound knowledge in digital signal processing, geometric algorithms and numerical methodologies. He received a Ph.D. in mathematical physics from ETH Zurich in 1998. Prior to founding ROB Technologies, Ralph worked as a software developer for CrowTen, as well as a senior researcher with Gramazio Kohler research at ETH Zurich.
